Day 1 of the NBA free agency is over and only player has signed a max deal and that was Rudy Gay to stay with the Grizzlies? We have all heard and read all the rumors about where these players will play; Where do you think these players will be playing next season?
Wade and lebron to Chicago to try and get statues next to Jordan. Wade has a house and family in Chicago and if lebron truly wants to be the king he's gotta surpass jordan; what better place to do it then Chicago. On the court you'd think rose wade and lebron would clash cause they all need the ball in their hands to be effective. I think they are good enough and smart enough to cooperate if the system is right. Hopefully new coach Tom Thibodeau can bring some of that Boston magic to chi town.
ReplyDeleteI dont see lebron and wade co-existing at all. They can talk about how they could play together but each of them wants to be the man and you cant have two guys with massive egos on the same team. I would take either of them in chi-town to go with Rose, Deng and Noah. Bron and Bosh preferably. But to answer your question that just to much and from the looks of things; lebron maybe he headed to NY as i read that he had a second meeting with the Knicks on Saturday but that could be just speculation but i read it from a source who might know. So i think by Wednesday we ll start to see some concrete evidence of whats been going on.
ReplyDeleteI just want to say if Lebron and D Wade goes back to their respective teams it will be a disappoinment on so many levels. First off as a Bulss fan I will be upset that we were unable to snag one of them to speed up the process of us becoming a major contender. Secondly with the Lakers being intact for at least another three years neither one of those teams will seem to be much of threat to really challenge them even if Bosh joins either one of them. That will mean we will have to listen to how great Kobe and Phil are for another 2-3 yrs which pains to even think about. Finally with all this hype and no real changes I would just feel like I saw an awful summer movie or season finale of a sitcom. All the previews/teasers get you so souped up and when you watch the movie/show nothing really happens!

Now I'll address each...
Bosh and Wade playing together in Miami is a major upgrade for Miami. That catapults Miami into contention for the Eastern Conference. Orlando and Boston are the powers to be in the East now, and this move puts Miami into those talks. D-Wade lost to Boston 4-1 in the first round this year alone.(He scored a playoff high 46 in the lone victory) Now add Bosh to that mix and another year of maturation for Michael Beasley and there a contender in the East. They'll win 52-56 games.
Amare signs with the Knicks...
Did I hear him correctly when he said "the Knicks are back". Not so fast my friend... Amare is a star in this league(better than Gasol) and he is a great building block for New York which is what I'm taking this as. Amare is a proven talent but lets take a closer look at him. Yes he's a 20 point scorer in this league but that was with the great Steve Nash spoon feeding most of those buckets. Shawn Marion was a 20 point scorer with that team too, where is he now?? Amare never had to beat a constant double team, he never had to make teammates better. He's never even averaged 10 boards in a season!!!He's a great co-star. They didn't sign Amare to be the star of his own show.(segway)
Lebron presser Thu at 9...
Lebron sees what's going on in the league and he can't stay put. I was the biggest Lebron should stay in Clevland guy, what else can they do for him. They brought in 5 new guys just last year!!!!!! What else does he want?? What else does he need?? They have a new coach that is a proven winner in the league.. Oh he wants to win now. I think he should go to New York and play in D'antoni's system with Amare Stoudamire. That's a scary thought. I know Steve Nash and Amare ran that pick-n-roll like Malone/Stockton but imagine Lebron and Amare.. Scary isn't it. Also Lebron is bigger than basketball now, Lebron is a brand in itself he belongs in New York!!
I woke up this morning and i saw Wade and Bosh were going to Miami and and my first inclination was that this isnt accurate. Its now 1:20 i still believe it is inaccurate. I still there is a lot to be said about these 3 guys. We know Bosh definitely would rather play with Lebron than Dwayne we ve seen that. So it has basically looked to me like Bosh has been pulling the string somewhat through this entire process b/c he has bron and d-wade wanting to play with him as well. But this whole process has been a dog and pony show the entire time, but its fine with me. Bosh "signing" with the Heat means that Lebron wanted to stay in Cleveland the entire time and didnt have any plans of leaving. Lebron has been put in a tough spot now being that his compadre has "went" to Miami b/c now if he wants to stay in Cleveland its going to be the same as before and nothing has changed except for the coach. As a bulls fan i hope he joins the bulls but if not Chicago i wouldnt mind seeing him in NJ or NY. But Lebron has said and other than Bosh he obviously is in love with CP3 and if your a GM right now you should be on the phone with the Hornets and breaking your neck to get Chris Paul. If im Chicago i ll trade Rose and Deng right now for Paul and Oakfors contract if i knew it would guarantee me Lebron.
ReplyDeleteNow to the show, why would Lebron hold a press conference for a show to say that he is staying in Cleveland thats and thats partly the reason i dont think he is going back now. And this show is another reason why i dont think this Wade and Bosh think is not as concrete people have previously reported. Why have a show if there isnt something more to this. Why does he need an entire hour if there isnt a huge splash to this thing. So im not going to guarantee at anything at this point i have to see it with my own eyes.
With the Knicks, Stoudemire claimed they were back. Im not an Amare fan but i appreciate him stepping and taking the challenge of NY on. And if there is any truth to him getting Carmelo they will definitely be back. But i applaud Amare for leaving Nash behind and not shying away from the lights of the Garden.
If Lebron wants to win like he says thats all he cares about then what team other than Miami (which i dont see him going there) gives him the best chance to win and thats Chicago with Carlos Boozer pending he goes with Lebron. Going to back to Cleveland only puts him the same predicament and im tired of hearing the same song and dance with this guy. He doesnt have this or he doesnt have that.
My prediction and its been this all along; 2 or 3 year deal in Cleveland (although i dont know why he would go back) and then we go through this process again in 2013.
