This blog has been created since I spend all of my life arguing sports with Willis Austin. Being the two knowledgeable sports fans that we are this is our first attempt to include people on the daily banter that often consumes one's life. This blog will often have a daily topic in which you the public will have the opportunity to chime in and give your respective opinions.

Tonight we have a game that has generated some interest for one reason and one reason only! I just want to see how the Magic and the Celtics approach this game! Although the series is still over; im interested in whether the Celtics give this game a shot and by shot i mean go out and try to win it by playing hard for 4 quarters. I mean do they Magic come out burying 3's and Boston goes we will see you game 6 in boston and we will close you out there! Or does Orlando come out and lay another egg! I have to give them credit for winning game 4. I thought they would lose the game in overtime thinking that they would crumble under pressure just like they had done in the 3 previous games ! Another question is which Orlando starter or starters disappears tonight? Last game it was Vince Carter. Another question is can America's favorite most overrated Center Dwight Howard be consistent enough to put back to back to good games together? All interesting things to look out for tonight..
ReplyDeleteNow onto the Western Conference. I am guilty like the rest of the sports world except for a few for dismissing the suns so easily. Im not gonna go ahead and say the Suns are going to win but they have at least made the Lakers work and this series respectable. But again lets be honest all the did was defend their home court. The truth of the matter is the Lakers will figure this zone and win games 5 and 6... or just take the series either the way the Lakers win the series it just wont be as easy as we all thought!
VInce Carter= terrible....

ReplyDeleteBoston, we have a problem.. Or is it Houston?? The phrase isn't the important thing, what's important is that the Orlando Magic have awoken and they're a handful when they're clicking. Orlando had every right to pack it in and go ahead and start with there offseason plans, but they went into Boston and pulled out a tough overtime victory let by "overrated" Dwight Howards 32 point 16 rebound performance. Game 5 they come back home and just handled the Celtics rather easily. They were in control of the game the whole night, dropping triples at the rate were accustomed to seeing from this Orlando team. The biggest question coming out of Game 5 is will the NBA rescind the second tech on Perkins and in turn cancel his one game suspension?? If Perkins sits out game 6 and with the shot Big Baby took for Dwight we can't expect him to be 100% what are the Celtics going to do with Dwight Howard???? He would DESTROY Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace isn't at the stage in his career where he can compete with Dwight for 40 minutes, but the NBA can't suspend Perkins for nothing.
Game 6 will be another tough game but once again I like Orlando. They have the momentum in the series right now, they've found there offensive rhythm and Rashard Lewis/Vince Carter are showing signs of life. They slowed Rondo again and they're bringing the pain to the Celtics now(Big Baby). Now the ball is in the Celtics court...
I have a question for you Jamil A... What is Kevin Garnett bringing to the table?
Boston looks old all of a sudden. KG clearly has an advantage on Dwight offensively and he still does not have that take over the game mentality. KG has too much skill to be playing second fiddle. I was hard on Dwight last week, but the by the way he is playing it seems as if he heard me, or he read this blog. Where has Ray Allen been the past couple games. He is too good for that.
