  1. Of the two series that remain the one Eastern Conference interest me more than the series in the west. The reason being is that we finally get to see if the Magic would have advanced last year if the Celtics had its leader Kevin Garnett. For those who think that Garnett would not have made a difference is insane! Howard to me is on the most overrated players in the league and will be again exposed just like he was in the finals last year. Howard is always in foul trouble and is limited offensively. And I have one question for Willis (the Magic lover); When have the Magic faced any adversity in these playoffs? The matchup to watch in my opinion Ray Allen vs Vince Carter. Which ever plays better I think gives his team an edge in the series despite the homecourt. Enclosing I think the Celtics win in 6 games and advance to the finals. In the West its this simple. One team has Kobe Bryant the other does not. I give the Suns one game and that is game 3. The Lakers in 5. Thus we get the matchup we probably should have got last year in the Finals.

  2. Well Jamil did get one thing right, the Lakers should win that series pretty easily now the other series is where I have to disagree. The person that will be exposed in this series is the aforementioned Kevin Garnett. This is the same guy that everyone called old for the last 5 months and now he tops 20 points for the first time all postseason and he's the difference. He looked good against the likes of Shaq, Verajao and J.J. Hickson and all of a sudden he's rejuvenated?? Orlando is the best in the NBA at exploiting mismatches(see Eastern Conference Finals 2009), Rashad Lewis is gonna pull Kevin Garnett and Glen Davis out to the perimeter and abuse him. It's going to be bombs away from the arc like they've done all playoff like last years playoff. Dwight Howard is limited offensively but that's not what makes him a great player. He's led the league in rebounds and blocks the last two years, that's elite company. Orlando won't have to worry about Rondo running around getting to the paint with Superman patrolling back there. Jameer Nelson being back this year also is a huge difference. He was an all-star last year and you add an all-star point guard to a team that made it to the finals last year and you have something brewing there. They haven't faced adversity, neither did the Lakers in 2001!!

  3. I agree with both of you that the Eastern Conference is far more intersting as the West probably won't be that competitive. As far as the winner I'm torn. I agree with Mil that KG will make a differnce but I feel Nelson will make make a bigger one. While both teams have a great defense and a lot of offensive weapons Orlando's are more deadly. Nelson, Lewis, Carter, or even Howard could go off on any night. I'm taking the Magic in 6

  4. Chillz you make valid point in that magic are probably stronger than last year with Jameer Nelson in the lineup. But from what it sounds like is that you are both comparing Jameer Nelson to Kevin Garnett which i think is a slap in the face to KG at this point in Nelson's career. We all know Garnett isnt the Big Ticket off old. But it was just his play that Celtics missed last year it was everything else he brought to the game. All the intangibles; the leadership, the emotion that we wont quit attitude that he has instilled into that locker room. But with that said we all know that Vince Carter is a good to great player but can or will he hit as many big shots as the Hedo Turkoglu did last year. Just a question. And can Matt Barnes consistently guard paul pierce. Paul has got blood in eyes now he knows he wont be seeing LBJ on him. This has got Boston in 6 games written all over it...

  5. well i certainly have to make a comment about this blog. I believe the Magic will win in 6 or 7 games. Yes KG will make a difference in this series, which he wouldve made a difference in last year. However, Jamison was not a threat from three like Rashard Lewis is and KG will not be able to get out on him fast enough! Now defending KG will truely be a problem but we will see how that goes. Im sick of hearing people say Dwight Howard is overrated! He cleans up rebounds without even boxing out, he leads the league in blocks and has the best defensive pressence in the league, and he's getting better offensively by the game. I know he isnt the best offensive player ever but part of the reason he cant be dominate is because every defender flops when he uses his strength in a league full of grown men! This will be a great series for sure! And as far as the Lakers vs. Suns, i dont think the Suns stand a chance unless Bynum ends up not playing and they shoot around 60% from three. I see there series goin 5 games.

  6. Frank when I say dwight howard is overrated i mean he isnt a top 5 player in the league like everyone makes him out to be. Yea he is strong and defenders do flop but why cant he stay out of foul trouble. you cant blame defenders for trying to get him out the game thats their gameplan and they have to do their best to execute it. If his game had any finesse to it maybe he could stay out of foul and stop trying to bully these grown men that you speak of. And can you please tell me what his go to move his b/c I have yet to figure that out. Yeah he as has progressed offensively but he still has a long ways to go.

  7. I'm sick of this Dwight Howard talk; he is a good player not great. He wines too much to be a quote unquote superstar. 6 years later he still has very little skill. If he is not dunking the basketball he has a hard time scoring. No dropstep, no up and under, no jumphook, no head shoulder fake, he can't create his own shot, and he when he puts the ball on the floor he gets it taken. He is overrated all Dwight can do is run, jump, and dunk. I realize that you have to play defense, and you need it to win, but if it were all about defense then you put 5 Ben Wallace types on the floor and see what it gets you. Dude has got to get better.
