Top 10 WR's

Who are your top 10 Wr's in the NFL?

3 comments:

  1. My Top 10 Wide outs are

    10. Hines Ward - Even though he is clearly getting older and has lost a step or two he is still one of the most complete receivers in the game. He blocks, he makes big catches, he leads his team. There is not much he doesn't do.

    9. T.O. - Second all-time in TD catches, he is one of the most electrifying players after the catch in NFL history. Two knocks on T.O. are that he has been a bad teammate (ask Garcia, McNabb, and Romo) and he will occasionally drop some key passes on you. Even with all that he is still outstanding. In Buffalo last year he had subpar QB play, that's why he had a subpar season.

    8. Greg Jennings - He is part of what helped Aaron Rodgers play at a Pro Bowl level. Not highly touted out of Western Michigan, but dude can play and he proves it week in and week out.

    7. Donald Driver - Another part of what helps Aaron Rodgers be Aaron Rodgers. Before Rodgers became the starter he played with a fellow named Favre and he played pretty well with him to. Driver is a pro he brings it every time he steps on the field.

    6. DeSean Jackson - Young check, immature at times check, talented, you better fucking believe it. This guy is so electric that I hold my breath every time he touches the ball. When he was at Cal you could clearly see that his game was on a totally different level than most kids. All you have to do is give him the ball and watch his feet.

    5. Reggie Wayne - Very few receivers have had as productive a career as Wayne, it doesn't hurt to have Peyton Manning as a QB, but he does have to get open and catch the ball. Reggie does that at a high level in every one of his seasons in the league.

    4. Randy Moss - He is the most physically gifted receiver that I have ever seen; tall, fast, great hands, so so route runner. When he wants to play he is absolutely unstoppable. Doesn't really go over the middle much, but he doesn't have to.

    3. Brandon Marshall - Tremendous talent, another guy, who after the catch is probably second to T.O. in hardest receiver to bring down. NFL record 21 catches in 1 game pretty damn impressive. My one knock on him is that he is a hot head, and he will pout if he doesn't get his way.

    2. Larry Fitzgerald - When the ball is in the air nobody in the NFL attacks the ball better. He will go and get it no matter where it is. He shuts his mouth works hard and plays ball. Gotta love it.

Honorable Mention - Miles Austin, I know he has only had one season as a starter in the league, but he is a beast. A Cowboys team record 250 yards in his first start followed by a stellar end to the rest of his season. He has proved that he is that dude. Jersey representa.

    1. Andre Johnson - The hands the speed, but what you don't know is, that he has been one of the only reasons to come out and watch the Houston Texans play football. Whether Schaub has been healthy or not you throw it he catches it. Just a tank out there.

  2. Here's my list....

    1. Andre Johnson. "Andre The Giant" He's the heavyweight champion right now. Back-to-back seasons of 100+ receptions and 1500+ yards. Big, strong, fast and unstoppable. He's going to get the Texans over the top soon.

    2. Larry Fitzgerald. Great hands, definition of playmaker. He carried the Cardinals to the Super Bowl. Made big play after big play and had the Cards up 23-20 in the big game. Now that Boldin is gone he might catch 120-130 balls this year.

3.Randy Moss. Do I need to explain? He's the man but he's not better than those other two right now at this stage of his career.

    4. Brandon Marshall. He's real good!! He's 6'4 230 and runs after the catch! He's caught 100+ passes the last 3 years. He's only played 4!! Who was the Broncos #2 receiver?? Kyle Orton was the QB last year and he still produced.

    5. Reggie Wayne. What knock does anyone have on this man?(He ran the wrong route in the Super Bowl) He's never in the news, he's never throwing teammates under the bus. He's plays big in the big games and he made the retirement of Marvin Harrison go unnoticed.

6.Steve Smith. (Carolina) He's a one-man wrecking crew!! Imagine if he had a quarterback. I watched him beat the Giants and Bears in the playoffs!! He beat them!! He caught 10 and 12 passes in the games and for 84 and 218 yards. Scored 2 touchdowns each game and returned a punt. He's tough and he has no #2 receiver, tight end or a QB.

    7. Wes Welker. Give this man his "props". He's unstoppable in the slot. He's the perfect fit for Tom Brady. He's caught 100+ balls the last 3 seasons(all with New England). He had 123 last year and missed 2 games!!! He may have challenged the all-time record.

    8. Hines Ward. The most complete receiver in football. He seems like he's just playing football and not in the NFL. Just a genuine love for the game. He caught 95 balls for 1100+ yards last year as well so he can still produce with the best of them. Has a Super Bowl MVP and shows up in big games.

    9. Donald Driver. He doesn't get the headlines, the attention or make the big plays like Greg Jennings but he's the #1 there. He's been the #1 for 8 years now. He's gone over 1000 yards the last 6 seasons. Underrated really.

    10. Roddy White. Matt Ryan and Mike Turner got all the press for the Falcons going to the playoffs but Roddy was right there with 88 catches and 1300+ yards. He's been over 1100 each of the last 3 years. He makes big plays, and who's there #2 receiver??

Honorable Mention: Chad Ocho Cinco, Vincent Jackson, Anquan Boldin, Greg Jennings.

  3. My list is as follows:

    1. Randy Moss- Even at this point in his career still the biggest threat on any field against any team. The best talent the NFL maybe has ever seen.. Extremely gifted so good at times seems bored. Hooked with Tom Brady and scored 23 td's.

    2. Andre Johnson- Strong, Fast, durable great hands. Extremely consistent and is only getting better. The best player you never hear about.

    3. Larry Fitzgerald- great hands and leaping ability. Interested to see what he does this year with no Warner or Boldin. But easily no. 3 in this league.

    4. Reggie Wayne- Great route runner, not great speed but fast enough to get open on any corner. Was running all around Revis Island in the AFC title game last year.

    5. Brandon Marshall- This generations Terrell Owens but except has hands. Extremely tough after the catch has speed and power expect big things this year.

    6. Steve Smith- One man band. Gets tripled team. And undersized if he gets help watch out. And hasnt had the best Qb play either.

    7. Roddy White- teaming with Matt Ryan to become one of the scariest qb/ wr combo's in the league. Production has increased every i expect nothing different this year.

    8. Welker/Ward- 2 words describe these guys steady and consistent.

    10. Greg Jennings- a threat to score over the top or underneath. Him Aaron Rodgers for a long time to come..

Honorable Mention- Miles Austin, D. Jackson, Chad Ocho-Cinco and Anquan Boldin,.
